Social Media Profile Optimization
Since your social profile/page just might be the first contact you have with a prospect, you want it to make a good impression.
There should be no question that this page is for a business, your business, and should look professional.
Note:
Fill in the ‘About’ section on your page and be sure to include any hot button keywords that help hook your prospects. Of course this includes any services you provide. This will look just like the Meta Description for your website which we mentioned in How Do I get good rank on Google.
If your social profile, or page, seems too new, too neglected, too spammy, people will click away fast.
However, if your profile has it’s header image (something that relates to your business), has a logo avatar, and has plenty of information to engage with, it will pour leads into your funnel.
So the first two are pretty self explanatory but let’s talk about engagement.
Engagement Builds Reach
When you start posting content, it will only reach (and possibly not entirely) your friends or people that like the page already.
It won’t reach fresh eyes unless it’s getting engagement from that short list.
How does it get engagement? By getting people to like and/or react to the post?
There’s 2 ways…
First, the obvious… be funny.
Not crude or unprofessional… funny… AND relate it to your business.
Second, be helpful by sharing your expertise… to build your authority.
It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, your prospects want to know about how much you know… ya know?
Sharing what you know proves to everyone that you have the answers and can handle their needs.
