How do I add my Woocommerce products to Google Merchant Listings?
If you’re reading this article, you probably already know what Woocommerce is, but assuming that you don’t…
Woocommerce is the leading WordPress shopping cart plugin.
Combined with WordPress, it allows you to freely operate a fully functional shopping cart to sell your products or services with simply the cost of web hosting.
WordPress is open source and supported by a community that has thousands, if not millions, of contributors by now, and Woocommerce is one of them.
Of course, as with anything you find for free, you will only get so far with the free stuff.
Here we are going to show you how to get your Woocommerce shop products into Google Merchant Listings, so they, hopefully, show up on Google’s shopping feeds.
And, as always, keep in mind that we never recommend plugins or themes unless we use them ourselves which means they definitely pass this list of criteria.
As you may have heard us mention before, we usually only use Themify or DIVI Builders & Themes which are already packed with great professional features, but when we want to fill in some of the gaps with Woocommerce, we call upon the power of YITH!
YITHemes has been developing in the WordPress community for a long while.
They offer a whole array of great plugins that add more pro functionality to Woocommerce.
If you’re just starting out, with a shoestring budget like we do, we always have to remind ourselves not to get too carried away.
They have A LOT of really cool upgrades for Woocommerce, so we try to stick with just the ones that are going to add the most value immediately.
Then we think about coming back to get more once our project has grown a little.
Here is one that I just gotta have right away…
YITH Google Product Feed for WooCommerce
Everybody wants their products to show up on the Google shopping feeds, but despite what most people assume, it doesn’t magically happen.
It’s quite the complicated process if you don’t have the right tools that help make things more efficient.
And if you run a store with A LOT of products, and you are constantly adding new products or updating, it’s basically impossible to do it manually.
This plugin does it for you. BUT… to be clear, nobody can guarantee that your product feeds get approved.
That part is entirely up to Google themselves, but this plugin helps you add every detail you need in place to please Google.
Take it from me, this plugin is worth every penny in time saved getting products listed.
An excellent administrative tool that guides you through it & makes it happen efficiently.
